Happy World Oceans DayDid you know that oceans produce at least 50% of the planet's oxygen? And that they represent about two-thirds of the surface of the Earth? Also, were you aware that oceans have been absorbing between 20 to 30% of human-induced carbon dioxide emissions since the 1980s?
World Oceans Day is an opportunity to celebrate the ocean's vital role in our everyday lives but also to acknowledge issues such as marine pollution, ocean warming, and overfishing.
By directly supporting SDGs 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and 14 (Life Below Water), FEE's tourism and educational programmes hope to help spread awareness about protecting marine life and our oceans.
