The IEC has opened the application for voters to apply for special votes. The closing date for applications is midnight on the 18th April. If voters are:
- away on the 8th May but still in town on the 6 or 7th May they can apply for an early vote at their voting station on those days.
- if you are disabled, ill or elderly you can apply for a home vist by the IEC which will also take place on the 6 or 7th May.
Residents who wish to make use of a special vote will need to apply by the 18th April. Applications can be done by:
- online application on http://www.elections.org.za - the application is on the landing page.
- in person at any IEC office where you will need to complete a VEC1 form
- via SMS (only for early votes and not home visits) but sending your ID number to 32249
