Dear Madam Mayor
As a concerned citizen and life-time resident of Cape Town I beseech you not to consider changing policy and doing away with the present authority Sub-Councils have regarding Economic, Environmental and Spatial Planning matters. Surely it goes against the Constitution that local residents cannot have a say in their own environment?
Cape Town and its suburbs have a wonderful ‘sense of place’, giving character and quirky spaces to our wonderful city. Should developers and the City Council be able to proceed without care or thought for these special places Cape Town and its environs will just become another concrete jungle?
PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN
